Yes, Knitted Knockers Charities is a nationwide 501(c)(3) non-profit, based in Tempe, Arizona, that provides free Knitted Knockers to women who have had a mastectomy.
Knitted Knockers are a light comfortable knitted prosthetic that when placed in a bra has the shape and feel of a real breast, and are more comfortable than silicone prosthetic breasts.
These are made and donated by volunteers across the country, then checked, sized and packaged for free distribution to mastectomy patients. Since we began in 2010, thanks to volunteers from around the world, we've given away over 8,000 knitted/crocheted knockers to women in all 50 states.
