Knitted Knockers are prosthetic breasts for mastectomy patients. When placed in a bra, these knitted breasts take the shape and feel of a real breast. They are lighter and more comfortable than silicone prosthetic breasts. The knitted fabric breathes and prevents the heat rash experienced by many women wearing the silicone ones.
We are now a 501 (c)(3) public charity.
Hailey Frances from KPNX Channel 12 was at Tempe Yarn & Fiber on April 12 to do a piece on Knitted Knockers. This aired on Friday April 13th and really captured what we are trying to do. Here is the link if you missed it.
